Igbara-oke Citizens In The Americas (ICA, Inc.) was inaugurated on June 5, 2004. The Association represents all Igbara-Oke indigenes and descendants in the Americas, a geographic area comprising of United States of America, Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean Islands.

Our Mission

To foster the spirit of love, unity, freedom, equality, and justice among Igbara-Oke people, both at home and abroad. In this respect, we project to be a catalyst of progress for our beloved hometown, and to uphold her dignity and glory.

ICA, Inc. Objectives

i. To be an umbrella Association for all local and regional chapters of Igbara-Oke citizens in the United States of America, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean.

ii. To foster the spirit of love, cooperation, togetherness, unity, and mutual understanding among Igbara-Oke citizens in the Americas, and all Igbara-Oke citizens and residents world-wide. To propagate unity and cooperativeness among Igbara-Oke descendants, and proximal communities.

iii. To seek the welfare of Igbara-Oke citizens in the Americas and their families, individually and collectively.

iv. To execute projects of economic and social benefits to the people of Igbara-Oke and environ.

v. To promote a forum to discuss and monitor issues of cultural, social, political, and economic benefits to Igbara-Oke, her citizens and residents on a non-partisan basis.

vi. To organize fund raising activities for educational, economical, cultural, and other developmental and social purposes and to soliciting donations and gifts in the form of cash, and other items of economic and financial value, e.g. computers, electronics, books, clothing, children toys, games, foodstuff, etc. with the view to promoting the economic development of Igbara-Oke and environ.

vii. To promote self help through donations, voluntary and charitable contributions and to raise funds to support and promote governmental policies targeted or aimed at poverty alleviation in Igbara-Oke and environ.
